Synopsis

Au cours du Grand Prix de Monaco, le premier de la saison internationale automobile, le pilote américain Pete Aron provoque un accident dans lequel son coéquipier britannique, Scott Stoddard est grièvement blessé. Aron est renvoyé par le patron de l'écurie et se fait consoler par la femme de Scott, Pat, ancien mannequin. En même temps, Jean-Pierre Sarti, champion du monde en titre, se prépare à remporter une nouvelle victoire avant de se retirer définitivement de la compétition…
